Cálem Colheita 2006 Tawny
Brick colour with reddish hues. Rich and intense on the nose, with aromas of spice (pink peppercorn) and dried fruit (almond and walnut) wrapped in sweet notes and hints of cocoa. The palate is intense and lively, with its sweeter, honey notes well combined with notes of fruit in syrup and spice. A long and intense finish.
Served chilled, it reveals all its finesse and sophistication, especially when drunk with desserts made with caramel, dried fruit and spice, such as caramel fondant with apple and ginger jelly, tarte tatin, crème brûlée and medium-strength cheeses. Despite the age, its freshness persists. An extraordinary match with a refreshing tangerine parfait.
- Grapes: Traditional Douro grape varieties, in particular Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca.
