Kopke Colheita 1950 Tawny

A bright amber colour. It shows a complex nose of dried fruit – dried fig, walnut, almond and hazelnut. A well-balanced ensemble, with prevailing notes of honey and a subtle hint of toasted peanut. Rich and silky on the palate, it reveals excellent structure and remarkable unctuousness. A powerful wine, while elegant and well-balanced. Singularly persistent finish.

Served chilled, it reveals all its finesse and sophistication, especially when drunk with desserts made with caramel, dried fruit and spices, such as caramel fondant with apple and ginger jelly, tarte tatin, crème brulée and medium-strength cheeses.

  • Grapes: Traditional Douro grape varieties.
