Kopke 40 Years-Old White
A bright gold colour. Complex nose of dried fruit, notably toasted almond, hazelnut, apricot and fig. Hints of orange peel give the wine a citric touch. This harmonious ensemble reveals excellent structure and sophistication. A special and powerful wine, in which the well-balanced acidity enhances its freshness. An impressive finish.
Served chilled, it is an elegant aperitif. Wonderful with rich starters, such as foie gras, vol-au--vent, scallop gratin or mushroom risotto. Being remarkably fresh despite the age, it is ideal with a crème brulée, a crispy crepe with custard or a spicy apple crumble. Goes perfectly with blue cheese, such as Stilton.
